    Description

Up for auction is a beautiful antique 15 inch composition and bisque doll. She is in a silk red dress that is very frail and torn. She has a pair of bloomers. And a slip. And a camisole. I believe they’re all authentic to her. Her upper joints and upper arms are wooden her lower legs and her hands are composition. Her body is composition. She moves at the wrist at the elbow at the shoulder at the knee at the hip the neck. She has an open mouth for perfect teeth she is 210 and or glass eyes that are open. Her eyelashes and eyebrows are painted on. She does need to be cleaned as do all of the dolls that are listed. She has I believe a mohair wig glued on. She needs to be restrung her elbows and knees are loose. I tried to show that in the photo. She does have some crazing and some fine cracks on her composition parts. She is missing a pointer finger finger on her right hand. Actually the cracks seem to be at the edge of her knee. Her body is in good shape with cracks in the finish around the hips. And her little body needs to be washed. I’m listening to the best of my ability items are as is. For example if her eyes are supposed to shot, I don’t know. But they are open not sleep eyes. And she’s marked. Made in Germany on her back which is stamped on which makes me think she is not an expensive Armand Marsai doll. She is marked on the back of her head with a mold number 8.210 M Germany and there’s something above her hairline but I don’t wanna take her wig off. She also came with little brass ornamentation jeans and a red ribbon.
Her biscuit appears to be in perfect shape.
My Mom suffered from Alzheimer’s disease. She was an avid Doll collector, Doll Doctor, Bear maker, fabric queen. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. She spent many hours dismembering her doll collection. So I am putting dolls (or portions of dolls) up for bid. I am  not a doll collector, so I am describing these doll heads, arms etc the best I can. Keen eyes will know more then I do. I usually do know bisque from composition, from plastic. Sadly the bodies are not matched up with the heads. So this is like a treasure hunt. All items sold as is. I will adjust listings as I am given more information. Shipping is Priority, with basic in insurance.
