Please Note: this kit comes with a 40t rear which is
slightly
quicker low end than oem 39t.
For even
QUICKER
gear ratio (off the line, roll on's, wheelies), use a 15T Front sprocket.
This quick ratio will be much quicker, but slower top speed with higher freeway cruising rpm's.
For
FASTER TOP SPEED
, and
LOWER HIGHWAY CRUISING RPM's
, use a 38t rear OR a 17t front sprocket.
This sprocket variation is a change that will be a faster top speed, but slower off the line.
* A 1 tooth change in the front is equivalent to a 3 tooth change in the rear.. but opposite effects.
EXAMPLE: (-1 tooth front = +3 teeth rear) or (+1 tooth front = -3 teeth rear)
EXAMPLE: (-1 tooth front
and
+1 tooth rear
combined
is the same as +4 rear only without changing the front)
Stock gearing is the factory calculated "happy medium" of both low end acceleration and top end speed..
